Title: Forensic Artifacts of File Execution
Files, including malware, are commonly deleted during a security incident. This may be a result of an adversary attempting to cover tracks, an anti-virus scan or just a IT professional cleaning up files.
This talk will focus on forensic artifacts left behind by file execution and how forensic examiners can use those to generate IOCs and identify the malware used. The presentation will use both commercial and open source tools for the demonstration.
